Other: Excellent written and oral skills required. Must have thorough knowledge of the disease process of substance abuse and mental illness.

Experience: Two years experience in Mental Health Profession.

Tuition Reimbursement up to $2,000 for continuing education

Licensure: LCSW, LPC, LMFT, or in process to be completed within 2 years.

Conducting plan comparisons for Part D prescription drug benefits;

Providing information and referral regarding other public benefits such as subsidized housing and energy assistance programs;

Conducting presentations for groups of older adults and family caregivers on Medicare benefits;

Providing technical assistance to certified volunteer benefits counselors as needed.

Advising Medicare beneficiaries (both current and prospective) of covered goods and services under Parts A, B, and D;

Providing objective counseling regarding Medicare Advantage Plans and helping beneficiaries make informed choice regarding Medicare Advantage Plans versus traditional Medicare;

Strong organizational and time management skills

Bachelors degree in Human Services, Social Work or related Field or combination of education and experience

Knowledge in counseling techniques and experience in trauma informed domestic and sexual violence

Provide problem solving, safety planning, education, advocacy to callers as appropriate

Remain knowledgeable of best practices related to DV/SV/Human Trafficking/Stalking as well as internal policies and processes that may impact shelter eligibility

2+ years' experience working with victims of DV/SV/ or Human Trafficking
