Conducting education classes for inmates as assigned.

Conducting intake screenings of newly incarcerated inmates;

Collecting and analyzing client health data;

Administering immunizations and a wide range of oral medications and injections;

Assessing and treating minor health problems.

Initiating appropriate measures in emergency situations when a physician is not available;

Must have two years of nursing experience.

Must be able to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and possess good oral and written communication skills.

Must be able to prepare and conduct in-service educational programs.

As applicable, will be required to demonstrate acceptable knowledge of nursing standards of care for specialty care area

Exercises independent judgment in providing nursing care.

Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
