Minimum of 3 to 5 years of accounting, budget management, or related experience

Attend relevant training sessions and workshops to enhance grant and contract accounting knowledge and skills

Ensure adherence to project guidelines, regulations, and reporting requirements from federal, state, and private funding sources

Communicate effectively with principal investigators, project managers, and external partners to address financial queries and resolve issues

Stay updated on evolving grant regulations, accounting standards, and best practices within the higher education sector

Experience with Contract Management systems

Work with the CRO in the management of investigator site contracts, budget negotiations and payments

Understanding of clinical protocols structures and experienced knowledge of schedules of assessments structures.

Oversee budget forecast development and accrual activities with finance for site payments.

Manage vendor consulting agreements and clinical development contracts as needed.

Experience developing study site budgets and an understanding of Standard of Care procedures.

Experience with coordination and management of external law firm, CROs, and internal staff, i.e., Clinical Operations

Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously while meeting high quality and timeliness standards under pressure.

Manage the process and interfaces between Deciphera, CRO, and External Law Firm Consultants for CTAs, amendments, and other related agreements.

Conducts a quality and consistency check for assigned studies between CTA, budget, and payment requirements.

BS/BA or equivalent years’ experience

Site budget negotiation skills are required.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, as well as database management experience – Salesforce preferred.

atabase management experience – Salesforce preferred.

Experience as a grant writer (both private and public preferred) and foundation researcher for a nonprofit.

Experience cultivating relationships with foundation directors and program officers.

Solid analytical and strategic thinking with strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree or significant experience, preferably in a nonprofit Development office.
