This includes administering medications, monitoring patient progress, and providing education and support to patients and their families. They must be knowledgeable in the administration of intravenous medications, including the proper preparation and delivery of medications. They must also be knowledgeable in the assessment of patient responses to medications, and must be able to recognize and respond to any adverse reactions. Contract Infusion Registered Nurses must also be knowledgeable in the management of infusion therapy, including the proper use of pumps, catheters, and other infusion equipment. They must also be knowledgeable in the management of patient records, including the documentation of patient progress and any changes in medication or treatment.
