Overview A Construction Lawyer is a legal professional who specializes in the legal aspects of the construction industry. They provide legal advice and representation to clients involved in construction projects, such as contractors, architects, engineers, and developers. They also handle disputes between parties involved in the construction process. Detailed Job Description Construction Lawyers are responsible for providing legal advice and representation to clients involved in the construction process. They must be knowledgeable in the laws and regulations that govern the construction industry, as well as the contracts and agreements that are used in the process. They must be able to interpret and explain these laws and regulations to their clients. Construction Lawyers must also be able to negotiate and draft contracts and agreements between parties involved in the construction process. Construction Lawyers must also be able to handle disputes between parties involved in the construction process. They must be able to assess the situation and determine the best course of action to resolve the dispute. They must also be able to represent their clients in court, if necessary. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern the construction industry
• Ability to interpret and explain laws and regulations to clients
• Ability to negotiate and draft contracts and agreements
• Ability to handle disputes between parties involved in the construction process
• Ability to represent clients in court

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in law
• Juris Doctor degree
• Admitted to practice law in the state in which they are employed
• Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of the laws and regulations that govern the construction industry
• Knowledge of contracts and agreements used in the construction process
• Knowledge of dispute resolution techniques
• Knowledge of court procedures
Job Experience
• Previous experience in the construction industry is preferred
• Previous experience in a legal setting is preferred
Job Responsibilities
• Provide legal advice and representation to clients involved in the construction process
• Interpret and explain laws and regulations to clients
• Negotiate and draft contracts and agreements
• Handle disputes between parties involved in the construction process
• Represent clients in court, if necessary
