Overview Clinical Lab Scientists are responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyzing the results to help diagnose and treat diseases. They work in a variety of settings, including hospitals, clinics, and research laboratories. They must be knowledgeable in the use of laboratory equipment and techniques, as well as have a strong understanding of medical terminology and laboratory safety protocols. Detailed Job Description Clinical Lab Scientists are responsible for performing a variety of laboratory tests and analyzing the results to help diagnose and treat diseases. They must be knowledgeable in the use of laboratory equipment and techniques, as well as have a strong understanding of medical terminology and laboratory safety protocols. They must be able to accurately interpret test results and communicate them to other healthcare professionals. Clinical Lab Scientists must also be able to troubleshoot any problems that may arise during testing. Job Skills Required

Job Knowledge Clinical Lab Scientists must have a strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and techniques, medical terminology, and laboratory safety protocols. They must also have a good understanding of the principles of laboratory testing and the ability to interpret test results. Job Experience Clinical Lab Scientists must have at least a bachelor’s degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field. They must also be certified from a recognized laboratory organization. Previous experience in a laboratory setting is preferred. Job Responsibilities
