Clinical Doc Spec Jobs

A minimum of 3 years of experience in area of population to be served is required

Three (3) years pervious acute hospital inpatient coding experience highly preferred

M.D. or D.O.; ECFMG certification (preferred for Foreign Medical Graduates)

Foreign or domestic Medical School Graduate (license not required), OR

Graduate from a Physician’s Assistant program, OR

Graduate from a Registered Nurse Practitioner program required.

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent clinical education

Must have both certifications, ICD (HCS-D) and OASIS (COS-C).

Thorough knowledge of Medicare Conditions of Participation

Strong computer skills and ability to learn various software packages

Detail-oriented skills with ability to organize and prioritize workload

Strong written, verbal and electronic communications skills.

Additional requirements for specific departments are as follows:

All Clinical Nurse I's are required to have current current BLS certification prior to clinical rotation.

Outpatient Treatment Centers Infusion (Non-Oncology) Chemotherapy/biotherapy certification preferred. ONSONCC

Registered Nurse in the State of California - Current and in good standing.

Oncology/Pulmonary/Sepsis: ACLS upon hire. Chemotherapy & Immunotherapy Provider Card required to administer chemotherapy.

Experience with utilization management, coding/DRG, billing, auditing and various healthcare payers is also preferred.

Minimum of five years of healthcare experience required, strong medical surgical background is preferred.

High level of interpersonal and communication skills necessary to establish rapport with physicians and other healthcare providers.

Minimum MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint) knowledge and expertise is expected.

EPIC Electronic Medical Record and CDI Software experience is preferred.

Regulatory background and DRG reimbursement knowledge, preferred.
