Overview A Circulating Nurse is a registered nurse who works in the operating room and is responsible for the overall care of the patient during surgery. The Circulating Nurse is responsible for ensuring that the patient is safe and comfortable during the procedure, and that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly. Detailed Job Description The Circulating Nurse is responsible for providing direct patient care in the operating room. This includes monitoring the patient’s vital signs, administering medications, and providing emotional support to the patient and family. The Circulating Nurse is also responsible for ensuring that the operating room is properly prepared for the procedure, and that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning properly. The Circulating Nurse is also responsible for coordinating with other healthcare professionals, such as anesthesiologists and surgeons, to ensure that the patient receives the best possible care. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy
• Ability to assess and monitor patient’s vital signs
• Ability to administer medications and provide emotional support

Job Qualifications
• Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing or related field
• At least one year of experience in a clinical setting
• Current CPR certification
