Overview Child Welfare Specialist III is a professional position within the child welfare system responsible for providing direct services to children and families in need of assistance. This position is responsible for assessing family dynamics, developing case plans, and providing services to ensure the safety and well-being of children. Detailed Job Description The Child Welfare Specialist III is responsible for providing direct services to children and families in need of assistance. This includes assessing family dynamics, developing case plans, and providing services to ensure the safety and well-being of children. The Child Welfare Specialist III is also responsible for providing crisis intervention, providing referrals to community resources, and providing court testimony when necessary. The Child Welfare Specialist III is also responsible for monitoring cases, providing case management services, and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations
• Knowledge of community resources and services
• Ability to assess family dynamics and develop case plans
• Ability to provide crisis intervention
• Ability to provide court testimony
• Ability to monitor cases and provide case management services
• Ability to maintain accurate records
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
• At least two years of experience in child welfare
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a background check
