Overview Child Welfare Assistants provide support to social workers in the field of child welfare. They help to ensure the safety and well-being of children and families by providing assistance with case management, record keeping, and other administrative tasks. They may also provide direct services to children and families, such as providing transportation, helping with referrals, and providing support during home visits. Detailed Job Description Child Welfare Assistants are responsible for providing support to social workers in the field of child welfare. They assist with case management, record keeping, and other administrative tasks. They must be able to work independently and as part of a team. They must be able to communicate effectively with clients, social workers, and other professionals. Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
• Previous experience working in child welfare
• Knowledge of child welfare laws and regulations
• Ability to pass a background check
