Obtains and maintains CPR certification as set forth by unit and Continuing Education.

Must meet and maintain education requirements upon hire and annually as determined by unit and Continuing Education Department

Manages all intake and outbound documents

Complies with applicable Local/State/Federal policies/procedures/guideline/regulations/laws/statues Maintains confidentiality by protecting personal healthcare information of all patients. Job Knowledge:

Certification preferred but not required.

Working knowledge of computers and software programs; required

Completes orientation program and participates in learning activities to maintain and improve knowledge skills.

Carries out responsibilities following safety guidelines for self, patient, visitors and employees.

May provide break relief or assistance to the unit clerk as needed and if applicable.

Uses the computerized electronic health record in accordance with job requirements and hospital policies and procedures.

Ability to be patient and courteous and use active listening skills.

Ability to demonstrate customer service skills in interactions with all patients, families and staff, including high volume and stressful situations.

Ability to perform basic math and quantitative measurements, e.g., obtain height and weight, abdominal girths, measure urine output, calorie counts, etc

Ability to accurately interpret and utilize basic medical terminology and abbreviations. Ability to enter and retrieve computerized information/data.
