Principle duties of the medical dosimetrist include (but are not limited to):

Support team to facilitate and complete initial due diligence of our prospective customers' existing workflow, systems, and dosimetry requirements.

Ensure administration and dosimetry documentation requirements are initiated and completed professionally and timely manner consistent with contracted service levels.

Facilitate engagement and education as required with customers to ensure standardized, consistent, and high-quality dosimetry plans are generated

Documents and communicates all facets of the treatment plan to customers whilst always adhering to jurisdictional data and information security requirements.

Apply automation and technological solutions to improve dosimetry quality and efficiency to benefit patients and customers.

Certification as a Medical Dosimetrist from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board

Minimum Salary: US Dollar (USD) 93,500

Midpoint Salary: US Dollar (USD) 117,000

Maximum Salary : US Dollar (USD) 140,500

FLSA: non-exempt and eligible for overtime pay

Participates in quality management in accordance with departmental policies, national guidelines, and accreditation standards.

Utilizes critical thinking skills when performing radiation treatment planning, plan evaluation, recognizing and resolving equipment problems and treatment discrepancies.

Contours and delineates clearly discernable normal critical structures and expanded planning structures using different imaging modalities.

Performs rigid and deformable image registration for multi-modality image sets.

Assists with quality assurance procedures as directed by a qualified medical physicist.

Assists with high dose rate (HDR) and low dose-rate (LDR) brachytherapy procedures including patient set up, simulation, and treatment planning.

2 years of dosimetry experience preferred.

3-5 years of experience in training/education in industry or academic environments preferred, will train for those with applicable clinical experience

Technical or Associates Degree or Higher preferred, equivalent scientific experience acceptable

Cross-cultural communication skills a plus

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

Certified by the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board or Board eligible.

Assists with, and directs as necessary, the fabrication of beam modifying devices and patient immobilization and positioning devices.

Certificate from college or technical school.

Under general supervision, responsible for calculating computerized isodose plans for radiation oncology patients.

Medical Dosimetrist credentialed from the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Exceptional mathematical skills including algebra, trigonometry and introductory calculus.

Skill in the use of computers and medical dosimetry equipment; able to perform quality assurance of radiation oncology equipment.

Knowledge of radiation safety and current rules and regulations of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.

Basic knowledge of billing and coding.

Varian and Aria experience including knowledge of latest techniques including IMRT, SRS, SBRT, IGRT.

State of WA Radiologic Technologist Certification (radiation therapy).

Certification through the Medical Dosimetrist Certification Board within one (1) year.

Supervise, perform or assist in the planning and implementation of the production of molds, casts and other immobilization devices.

Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience
