Substitutable Education & Experience: None

Assists patient and/or family in using non-pharmacological measures for pain management.

Offers education, companionship and nonjudgmental support during the postpartum period.

Communicates with peers to share knowledge and skills.

Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent (May be considered if currently enrolled in GED classes)

Minimum Years of Experience: None

Minimum of 1 year experience working as a Doula

This is a grant funded position.

Outreach, Education, and Resource Management

Assist NFP Director with research, writing, and program management of grants and contracts as needed.

Excellent interpersonal skills, experience in training, coaching, mentoring, facilitation, motivational interviewing, therapeutic relationships.

Knows and understands the Goodwill Mission: Strengthen communities by empowering individuals and families through education, training and job placement.

Manage operations of BASE Doula Services and Community Doula outreach and resource support within GIMs service area.

Coordinate services and service delivery strategy in accordance with grant and funder requirements and agency resources, policies, and procedures.

Demonstrates proper performance of skills reflected and validated by the C.N.A. competency checklist.

Demonstrates knowledge of use of all patient care equipment.

Exchanges routine information in an appropriate manner requiring good oral and written communication skills.

Assists the RN, LPN/LVN and other members of the clinical team in the care of the patient.

Properly plans/organizes work for assigned shift to properly utilize time, resources, manpower, supplies to ensure patient receives appropriate quality care.

Accurately completes and documents assignments.
