Overview A CDL Apprentice is a person who is in the process of obtaining a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL). This person is typically employed by a trucking company and is in the process of learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a professional truck driver. Detailed Job Description A CDL Apprentice is responsible for learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a professional truck driver. This includes learning the rules and regulations of the road, learning how to inspect and maintain a truck, and learning how to safely and efficiently operate a truck. The CDL Apprentice will also be responsible for completing the necessary paperwork and documentation associated with the job. Job Skills Required
