Detailed Job Description The Camp Craft Specialist is responsible for providing instruction in outdoor activities such as camping, backpacking, and wilderness survival. They will also provide guidance and support to campers and staff in the development of outdoor skills and knowledge. The Camp Craft Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing educational programs, leading outdoor activities, and providing instruction in the use of camping and backpacking equipment. They will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for campers and staff. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of camping, backpacking, and wilderness survival techniques
• Ability to lead and instruct campers and staff in outdoor activities
• Ability to develop and implement educational programs
• Knowledge of camping and backpacking equipment
• Ability to maintain a safe and secure environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to work in a variety of outdoor conditions
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Outdoor Education, Recreation, or a related field
• Certification in Wilderness First Aid and CPR
• Experience working with children and/or adults in an outdoor setting
• Knowledge of local flora and fauna
