Schedules resident appointments within and outside of the facility as directed by the Unit Charge Nurse.

Maintains order in the nurses' station by replacing records into their proper place, disposing of excess paper and eliminating clutter.

About York Nursing and Rehabilitation:

Excellent time management and organizational skills.

Management staff that is hands-on

Checking unit supplies, anticipating inventory requirements, placing orders, and overseeing receipt of the supplies.

Reporting orders given by the doctor relating to patients' dietary and medication requirements.

Good computer skills with programs, such as MS Office and Google Suite.

Advanced knowledge of medical terminology.

Phlebotomy and ECG experience preferred

Excellent interpersonal and team building skills

Provides safe and efficient direct patient care with consideration for age-specific accommodations.

Collaborates with patients, families, and health care team members in order to achieve excellence in patient care.

Promotes patient safety through adherence to protocols, policies, procedures, evidence-based guidelines and Joint Commission National Patient Safety Goals.

Actively participates in and supports departmental and organizational quality initiatives and goals.

Notifies Nurse Manager of problems of a more serious nature.Submits completed paperwork for Nurse Manager’s signature.

Assists Nurse Manager in data collection for departmental projects/research when appropriate.

Accepts reassignment to other units as directed by Nurse Manager, Charge Nurse, or NAC.

Carries out unit specific duties and other duties as directed by the nurse manager.

Post high school education, which includes computer courses and medical terminology, preferred.

Answers telephones, takes and relays messages promptly, and answers inquiries.

Management of hyperbillirubin / phototherapy

H.S. Diploma/GED required and 0-1 years of training and/or experience at an acute care facility.

Student Nurse with hospital-based clinical experience.
