Overview A Bridge Carpenter is a skilled tradesperson who is responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing bridges and other structures. They use a variety of tools and materials to build and maintain bridges, including steel, wood, concrete, and other materials. Bridge Carpenters must be knowledgeable in the use of hand and power tools, as well as in the principles of bridge construction. Detailed Job Description Bridge Carpenters are responsible for constructing, maintaining, and repairing bridges and other structures. They use a variety of tools and materials to build and maintain bridges, including steel, wood, concrete, and other materials. Bridge Carpenters must be knowledgeable in the use of hand and power tools, as well as in the principles of bridge construction. They must be able to read and interpret blueprints and other technical documents, and must be able to work safely and efficiently in all weather conditions. Bridge Carpenters must also be able to work as part of a team and communicate effectively with other members of the construction crew. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of bridge construction principles

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in bridge construction or carpentry
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to lift heavy objects
• Ability to work in extreme weather conditions

• Knowledge of bridge construction principles
• Knowledge of hand and power tools
• Knowledge of safety regulations
• Knowledge of building codes
Job Experience
• Previous experience in bridge construction or carpentry
• Previous experience in the use of hand and power tools
