Boilermaker Welder Repair Employee Jobs in Texas

Minimum of 1-year verifiable mechanic/welding experience in ANY industry

Lays out, positions, aligns, cuts, fits components together for welding and painting

Bolts, clamps, tack-welds, or otherwise fastens parts to secure in position for welding and/or repairing

Sets up equipment and welds parts, using appropriate welding equipment

May handle, repair, and replace tire and wheel components as necessary

Demonstrate knowledge and skills in safe rigging practices.

Recognize various materials used in the craft and demonstrate a working knowledge of appropriate material handling techniques.

Follow the rules of safe conduct always.

Identify, recognize and demonstrate safe usage of hand tools and power tools appropriate for the job.

Select and safely use appropriate equipment which may include (but not limited to) man lifts, fork lifts, and company trucks.

Identify, explain and perform crane hand signals.

Formal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical or trade school such as NCCER Boilermaker Certification

Demonstrated industrial maintenance history experience

Expected to have boiler helping experience in a maintenance environment

Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment

Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors

Must have experience with equipment maintenance

Formal education/degree/certificate in construction, technical or trade school such as NCCER Boilermaker Certification

Demonstrated industrial maintenance history experience

Expected to have boiler helping experience in a maintenance environment

Knowledge of industrial machinery and equipment

Good communication skills with co-workers and supervisors

Must have experience with equipment maintenance

One (1) or more years of industry related experience preferred.

Assembles and installs boiler tanks and other related equipment.

3 years of work experience in ONE of the following crafts: Boilermaker or Pipefitter

NCCER certification Pipefitting, Boilermaker, Certified Pipe Welder or NCCER/NCCCO Heavy Equipment Operator

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Perform routine corrective and preventative maintenance on refinery fixed equipment i.e. heat exchangers, sight glasses and treaters.

Perform non-routine work as required including shutdown, turnaround, and startup activities

Must respond to callouts when scheduled

Must have knowledge of towers/columns, exchangers

Repair and replace trays; knowledge of the bundles pulling process; repair and replace boiler tubes; and flame cutting.

Minimum 4 years of experience in boilermaker craft industry

Must also have the ability to perform advanced blueprint reading; advanced layout, where required;

Breakdown heat exchangers and related equipment

Perform mechanical repairs, including welding, sawing, and grinding

Assist with the line-up and assembly of tubesheets and baffles

Load tubes into baffle assemblies

Install test heads on bundles

Minimum 1 year industrial construction/maintenance industry experience

Knowledge of maintenance and construction materials

Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: location, quantities, and sizes of materials required

Schedule equipment through proper protocol

Set up, charge, add all work orders and account numbers

Receive, inspect, help unload and distribute material/equipment received

Profile/ Professional Competencies/ Job Requirements

Interpret technical designs of the project, marking and tacking the assembly of the welding internal components of the wind towers.

Marking and fitting up wind tower door frame.

Inspect assembled vessels or individual components, such as tubes, fittings, valves, controls, or auxiliary mechanisms, to locate any defects.

Bell, bead with power hammers, or weld pressure vessel tube ends to ensure leakproof joints.

Knowledge of symbols based on legend

Knowledge of Torque and Values

Knowledge of specialty tools (torque wrench, skidmore, torque guns, mag drills, hogan drills)

Basic knowledge of welding (machine set up, Mig, stick, gas, ect)

Knowledge of cutting torch, set up, dangers, usage, cleaning, types of tips and when to use the different types of tips
