Biotechnology Engineer Jobs in New York

Evaluate, modify, or develop procedures to meet special requirements of particular research studies

Bachelor's degree in biological sciences or a related subject plus at least two years of technical experience in a histology laboratory

Certification as a Histotechnician (HT) or Histotechnologist (HTL) is desirable but not required

Experience in preclinical research setting preferred

Excellent communication skills and work well in a team environment

Perform routine and special histological procedures involving specimen accessioning, grossing, processing, embedding, sectioning, staining (routine and special)

Incumbent is in the process of developing core Research Associate skills

NYSE Licensing Requirements – Series 7, 63, 86 & 87, SIE

1-2 years of work experience in a non-academic setting such as biopharma industry/drug development, life sciences consulting, or investment banking

Strong computer skills (Excel) with ability to quickly learn new platforms

Detail oriented with solid analytical skills and ability to synthesize data points into trends beyond the mainstream

Prior sell-side equity research experience in biotechnology, pharma, or specialty pharmaceuticals

Attendance at company presentations, attendance of meetings with company management, researching company accounts/reports and other sources and drafting research notes

At least 3 years previous experience or background in a life science related field (e.g. Equity Research Analyst)

Advanced IT skills, particularly in MS Excel

Strong knowledge of company valuations and financial modelling

Updating all reports on a daily basis: watching the news for any and all updates, creating and writing flash notes
