0401 - General Natural Resources Management and Biological Sciences Series:

A. Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position. -OR-

Conduct inspections and investigations of regulated facilities for compliance with applicable regulations, permits, or other federal requirements.

Knowledge in applying theories, concepts, principles, and methodologies of an engineering or physical science degree sufficient to support criminal investigations.

Performance requirements:Technical understanding of the invention disclosure, and identification of search focus.

Problem solving skills in constructing and conducting patent searches using various search engines.

Critical thinking skills to analyze found results and completing a search report.

Other skills:Self-motivated to work effectively and efficiently.

At least one year experience in patent search and/or examination is required

Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Ph.D. in biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, biostatistics, engineering, or other quantitative fields with practical experience in an industrial or research setting.

Working experience with R and Python program languages to analyze large high-dimensional and multi-modal datasets.

Strong written/verbal technical communication and interpersonal skills

Working knowledge of Cloud Computing (AWS), PostgreSQL, Docker

Maintain deep knowledge of the relevant state-of-the-art methods

Extensive experience with various services of Cloud Computing (AWS)

5. Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), cost control procedures, and cost accounting record keeping and procedures.

Education, Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate should have experience with handling primary cells and cell lines

Expertise in cell biology and microbiology would be highly advantageous, as would experience in dealing with biospecimen collection labs.

Strong communication skills are highly desirable.

The individual should also be self-motivated and have demonstrated an ability to work within teams.
