Overview A Behavioral Interventionist is a professional who works with individuals with behavioral issues to help them develop positive behaviors and improve their quality of life. They use a variety of techniques to assess and address the individual’s needs, including behavior modification, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based interventions. Detailed Job Description A Behavioral Interventionist is responsible for providing individualized behavioral interventions to individuals with behavioral issues. They assess the individual’s needs and develop an individualized plan to address those needs. They also provide support and guidance to the individual and their family to help them understand and manage the individual’s behavior. They may also provide training and support to other professionals who are working with the individual. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of behavior modification techniques
• Knowledge of cognitive-behavioral therapy
• Ability to assess and develop individualized plans
• Ability to provide support and guidance to individuals and families
• Ability to provide training and support to other professionals
• Ability to work with a variety of individuals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
• Master’s degree in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred
• Certification in behavior analysis or related field preferred
• Experience working with individuals with behavioral issues preferred
