Beauty News Reporter Internship Jobs

Be treated like a staff member, whether you are working as a reporter, visual storyteller, or audience / social media specialist.

You will be assigned to a senior-level mentor during the internship and will receive coaching, training and mentoring.

As a Summer News Intern, You Can Expect To

four to six samples of their strongest work

Experienced in digital media metrics and tools, such as CMS platforms and Google Analytics

Knowledgeable in SEO, AP style, and affiliate linking best practices

Pitch and write at least 2 commerce articles per day for Shape.com and InStyle.com that generate affiliate revenue

Identify and carry out commerce content opportunities within wellness, beauty, style, celebrity, and fitness categories

Monitor the internet, including social media and search platforms, for commerce opportunities around trends, celebrity recommendations, viral products, and more

Use analytics to brainstorm your pitches; pull affiliate earnings and traffic data weekly to understand reader interests and guide strategy

Embrace feedback and guidance from the editorial team to enhance your writing skills and storytelling abilities.

Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for fashion and style.

Strong research and interviewing abilities to gather information from reliable sources and industry professionals.

Knowledge of current fashion trends, designers, influencers, and industry events.

Ability to meet deadlines, manage multiple assignments, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Basic knowledge of SEO principles is a plus.
