Overview An Automotive Parts Apprentice is a person who works in a garage or dealership to learn the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified automotive parts specialist. The apprentice will learn how to identify, order, and install parts for a variety of vehicles. Detailed Job Description An Automotive Parts Apprentice is responsible for learning the skills and knowledge necessary to become a qualified automotive parts specialist. This includes learning how to identify, order, and install parts for a variety of vehicles. The apprentice will also be responsible for learning how to use diagnostic tools and equipment, as well as how to read and interpret technical manuals. The apprentice will also be responsible for learning how to properly store and handle parts, and how to properly package and ship parts. Job Skills Required• Knowledge of automotive parts and systems
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals
• Ability to use diagnostic tools and equipment

Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license
• Ability to pass a background check

• Knowledge of automotive parts and systems

• Knowledge of proper storage and handling of parts
• Knowledge of proper packaging and shipping of parts
Job Experience
• Previous experience in automotive parts or related field is preferred
