Automotive Express Service Department Technician Jobs

Work alongside skilled technicians to learn how to perform quality vehicle service maintenance and repairs.

1+ year Automotive Lube/Tech Experience or Technical School Training

Tire mount, balance and repairs

Clean/sweep shop, other duties as assigned.

Clean appearance & ability to maintain clean work area

Must have a valid driver's license with good record

Perform Technician Maintenance Services & Repairs

Be willing and able to learn and adapt

Pass pre-employment screenings (Drug & Background)

Must have a valid Driver's License

Current ASE and/or OEM Certifications are strongly preferred

Knowledge in automotive repair and maintenance

Paid and sponsored manufacturer training and certifications

Performing a Multipoint Vehicle Inspections

Perform Maine State Inspections (Once licensed)

Perform lube, oil, and filter changes

Must meet dealership’s requirements for employment

Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice preferred

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors

Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns

Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings and shackles

Must have at least 1 year of experience as an auto technician

Knowledge in all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance

Good written and verbal communication skills

Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership policies

Test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment; test drive vehicles

Diagnose, maintain, and repair vehicle automotive systems

Perform general express technician services as needed

Diagnose, repair and maintain vehicle automotive systems including flushes, oil changes, etc.

Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs

Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs to service advisors and customers

Learn new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions to keep up with rapidly changing technology
