Overview An Athletics Director is responsible for overseeing the athletic programs of a school or organization. They are responsible for the recruitment, hiring, and training of coaches and staff, as well as the budgeting and scheduling of athletic events. They must also ensure that the organization’s athletic programs are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Detailed Job Description An Athletics Director is responsible for the overall management of the organization’s athletic programs. This includes recruiting, hiring, and training coaches and staff, as well as budgeting and scheduling of athletic events. The Athletics Director must ensure that the organization’s athletic programs are in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. They must also ensure that the organization’s athletic programs are properly funded and that all necessary equipment and facilities are in place.
