Associate Industrial Designer Jobs

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Provide technical specifications (product materials, colors, measurements, manufacturing processes and details) for each product so sampling and production can run accordingly.

A Bachelor's degree or relevant experience in Industrial Design, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience designing parts with consideration for plastic injection molding, CNC machining, and metal forming/casting/extrusion/stamping best practices.

Experience managing complex part interactions and assemblies.

Experience utilizing rapid prototyping techniques such as 3D printing and CNC machining to help validate part design.

Experience utilizing anthropometric data to guide the design of products that directly interface with the human body.

Surfacing Designer, Industrial Design - Meta Reality Labs Responsibilities:

Excellent Time Management Skills to Meet Deadlines

Follow and adhere to timeline requirements as closely as possible and manage adjustments to schedule as needed.

Base Salary Range $60,000 - $85,000 depending on candidate experience and skill set

Translate user insights and market requirements into new product concepts per brief requirements.

Work closely with vendors and clients through product development to manage an iterative prototyping process.

Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Design or applicable soft goods product design/development experience

Knowledge of the automotive aftermarket parts industry is beneficial but not required.

Technical writing skills for installation instructions is helpful.

Job Type: Full-time, Salary based upon experience

Participate in new product concept brainstorming.

Create 2-D sketches of new product concepts.

Create prototypes, mock-ups, or proof of concepts for new products.

Minimum 2 years of experience in product design, preferably in the automotive/consumer product/footwear industry

Design for Manufacturing experience (Injection molding, casting, machining)

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and articulate design concepts

Strong organizational skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

A portfolio demonstrating your design process and product design abilities is required

·Working knowledge of Keyshot or equivalent rendering software

·Expert skill set in Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator

Support internal/external design resources to manage projects.

Minimum 1 year professional design experience in consumer products working with multi-disciplinary teams

Experienced and proficient in 3D prototyping and visualization, i.e., foam core, 3d printing, etc.

Consumer electronics experience a plus

Design engaging products that delight the end-user.

Lead day-to-day industrial design actions with product development teams.
