Approximately 2-4 years of relevant work experience in journalism, media, international policy, and/or communications.
Excellent editing and writing skills.
Experience with WordPress or similar web-publishing platforms, Marketo or similar email marketing platforms, digital publishing, HTML, and/or social-media promotion and distribution.
Demonstrated interest in and knowledge of international affairs and a commitment to the mission and goals of the Atlantic Council.
Build strong relationships and coordinate editorial work with staff and fellows across the Council’s sixteen programs and centers.
Help the Editorial team with administrative tasks such as maintaining an editorial calendar and processing invoices for freelance editors and writers.

Overview The Assistant Managing Editor is responsible for assisting the Managing Editor in the day-to-day operations of a publication. This includes overseeing the editorial staff, ensuring the quality of content, and managing the publication’s budget. Detailed Job Description The Assistant Managing Editor is responsible for assisting the Managing Editor in the day-to-day operations of a publication. This includes overseeing the editorial staff, ensuring the quality of content, and managing the publication’s budget. The Assistant Managing Editor will be responsible for assigning stories to writers, editing and proofreading content, and ensuring that deadlines are met. The Assistant Managing Editor will also be responsible for coordinating with other departments, such as marketing and advertising, to ensure that the publication is successful. Job Skills Required
