Overview The Assistant Director of Economic Development is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote economic growth and development in a given region. This position works closely with local businesses, government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify and create opportunities for economic growth. The Assistant Director of Economic Development is also responsible for developing and managing economic development programs and initiatives, and providing technical assistance to local businesses. Detailed Job Description The Assistant Director of Economic Development is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to promote economic growth and development in a given region. This position works closely with local businesses, government agencies, and other stakeholders to identify and create opportunities for economic growth. The Assistant Director of Economic Development is also responsible for developing and managing economic development programs and initiatives, and providing technical assistance to local businesses. Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in economics, business, public policy, or a related field
• At least 5 years of experience in economic development or a related field
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal economic development programs
• Experience with grant writing and grant management
• Experience working with local businesses and government agencies
