Overview The Assistant Building Official is responsible for providing technical assistance to the Building Official in the enforcement of building codes and regulations. This position is responsible for ensuring that all building projects meet the requirements of the applicable building codes and regulations. Detailed Job Description The Assistant Building Official is responsible for providing technical assistance to the Building Official in the enforcement of building codes and regulations. The Assistant Building Official is also responsible for providing technical advice to the Building Official on matters related to building codes and regulations. This position is also responsible for conducting inspections of building projects to ensure compliance with the applicable building codes and regulations. Job Skills Required

Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, or related field
• At least two years of experience in building code enforcement
• Knowledge of building codes and regulations
• Ability to interpret and apply building codes and regulations
• Ability to conduct inspections of building projects
• Ability to provide technical advice to the Building Official
• Ability to communicate effectively with other staff and the public
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
