Overview The Assistant Brewer is responsible for assisting the Head Brewer in the production of beer. This includes helping to maintain the brewery, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and assisting in the brewing process. The Assistant Brewer must be able to work independently and as part of a team. Detailed Job DescriptionThe Assistant Brewer is responsible for assisting the Head Brewer in the production of beer. This includes helping to maintain the brewery, cleaning and sanitizing equipment, and assisting in the brewing process. The Assistant Brewer must be able to work independently and as part of a team. The Assistant Brewer will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Maintaining the brewery, including cleaning and sanitizing equipment
• Assisting in the brewing process, including measuring ingredients, monitoring temperatures, and transferring beer
• Assisting in packaging and labeling beer
• Assisting in the maintenance of the brewery’s records
• Assisting in the development of new recipes
• Assisting in the maintenance of the brewery’s inventory
• Assisting in the maintenance of the brewery’s safety and sanitation standards
Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of brewing processes and techniques
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety protocols
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Job Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in a brewery or related field
• Knowledge of brewing processes and techniques
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards
• Ability to lift and move heavy equipment
