Assist Women’s Hockey Coach Jobs

High level club or college coaching experience

Knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations and a record of compliance

Strong verbal and written skills

4 years hockey at the Division 1 NCAA level

An established applicable recruiting network

Proficiency with Microsoft Office, QuickTime, iMovie

Candidates must possess significant ice hockey coaching and playing experience.

Attention to detail and strong communication skills are critical.

Cooperate and communicate with Snider Hockey staff and volunteers to help deliver a consistently excellent experience for all participants.

Promote positive character development of Snider Hockey participants by discussing the importance of education, teamwork, effort, respect, and related values.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

Achieve academic success as they matriculate from Crayons through College;

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience; and competitive and/or coaching experience highly desired, preferably at the college level

Experience with digital hockey programs or ability to learn about them

Ability to work in a team environment

Valid driver's license and must be able to successfully pass driving record check. For criteria please see the Driver Acceptability Matrix

This position will require flexibility to work long, irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.

Ability to maintain effective relationships with management, league officials, facility representatives, the media, fellow employees, and the general public

Salary will be determined by resume and previous experience

Daily practice set up (towels, jerseys, socks, laundry bags, sport drinks, water, etc.)

Pre- practice skate sharpening, equipment repairs, equipment modifications, and sewing

Pre-practice bench set up: water bottles, coaches board, tape, sticks, tires, etc.

Post-practice skate sharpening, equipment repair (sewing), equipment modification, equipment replacement, equipment cleaning, and laundry

Develop and improve participant sport skills

Create drills and run practices effectively with emphasis on developing player skills and attention to goalies as well as skaters

Prior coaching experience at varsity high school level or higher

Previous experience playing at a competitive level (includes varsity and club) preferred

High-level knowledge of the game

Minimum Qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
