Art Gallery Manager Jobs in California

Assist with project management of new permanent public art commissions and existing projects, art acquisitions, and artwork conservation and maintenance.

Candidates must have the following knowledge and abilities:

Manage on-call graphic designers to develop didactic materials for exhibitions, projects, events, performances, and installations.

Manage on-call photographer to document the LAX Art Program’s exhibitions, projects, events, performances, and installations.

Provide administrative support to ensure artists, curators, and contractors comply with administrative requirements.

Communicate effectively using written and verbal skills.

3+ years experience in fine arts handling

Crating experience is a PLUS

Packing fragile artworks, i.e. small ceramics to larger sculptures

Work directly with private clients and designers in home and business settings

You’ve worked directly with artists as a manager, curator, or gallerist
