Airframe Technician Jobs in Iowa

Conceives, manufactures and adapts installation tools, when necessary, to improve repetitiveness and work hours with managements approval.

Determines work to be done on assigned jobs and proceeds accordingly.

Modifies completed assemblies and sub-assemblies, when necessary.

Performs check of fabricated items and/or checkout of systems installed.

Utilize aircraft tooling to perform precision sheet metal operations and installations.

Install interior shell panels and completes various interior operations as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Penn State Covid-19 Vaccination or Testing Requirements

Analyze and diagnose malfunctions and/or defects in airframe structures systems and components and in powerplants and associated systems and components

Determine the extent of the repairs required and procedures necessary to correct problems

Report recurring malfunctions to Lead A & P Technician with the Inspection Authorization

Rig rotary wing and fixed wing aircraft, and balance and rig movable surfaces
