Adjunct Faculty – Graphic Design Jobs

This position is for online/remote adjunct teaching opportunities and does not require a local (Southern California) presence.

Constructive, personalized written comments/feedback on all graded assignments to identify strengths and areas for student improvement.

Adherence to the university “Regular Effective Contact” policy

Response to student inquiries within 24 hours.

Academic experience is a plus.

Teach graduate courses in Human-Computer Interaction Design.

Plan and provide instructional experiences that reflect an understanding of the philosophy, objectives, and curriculum of the program.

Minimum of 1 year of teaching experience or 3 years of professional work experience.

Teach required number of credit hours per quarter based on their contract.

Teach studio, lecture, and/or practicum courses per their contract.

Evaluate student achievement of curricular objectives/outcomes.

Maintain communication with the program director regarding any course or student issues.

For classroom management, knowledge of and prior experience with the Blackboard Learning Management system is ideal.

Prior teaching experience (at least one year) is preferred.

BFA or BA/BS in Graphic Design or equivalent.

Adjunct positions are available in Palatine, IL and in the Chicago Loop.
