Acute Care Registered Nurse Days Job Description The Acute Care Registered Nurse Days is responsible for providing direct patient care in a hospital setting. This includes assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with acute and chronic illnesses. The Acute Care Registered Nurse Days is also responsible for providing education and support to patients and their families. Job Skills Required
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat patients
• Ability to provide patient education and support
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
Job Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
• Current Registered Nurse license
• At least two years of experience in an acute care setting
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
Job Knowledge
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Knowledge of the nursing process and its application to patient care
• Knowledge of pharmacology and medication administration
• Knowledge of infection control and safety protocols
• Knowledge of medical equipment and its use
Job Experience
• At least two years of experience in an acute care setting
• Experience in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients
• Experience in providing patient education and support
• Experience in working collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
Job Responsibilities
• Assess, diagnose, and treat patients with acute and chronic illnesses
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the physician
• Provide patient education and support
