Acupuncturist Pediatric Supportive Medicine Jobs in Virginia

Provides health education related to acupuncture services to patients.

Provides consultation and education to SHC professional staff.

Current cardiopulmonary resuscitation and automated external defibrillator (CPR/AED) certification as appropriate for the assigned duties.

Utilizes infrared light for increased circulation, pain relief muscle relaxation, enhanced energy flow.

Utilizes cupping techniques to increase blood flow to an affected area.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Prior experience in a human services environment supported by grants; knowledge of electronic health records/data management and Medicaid billing helpful

Knowledge of mental illness, substance abuse disorders, community resources, medication management, and recovery concepts

SOAR certification and experience strongly preferred, and CPR/First Aid Certification

Knowledge of homeless and offender population and appropriate community resources, especially entitlement and housing resources

Excellent computer skills including use of Microsoft Office Word and Excel

Valid VA Driver's license and reliable transportation - you'll travel approximately 10% of the time

Knowledge of basic computer operations and other office equipment.

Provides monitoring and continuity of care between physician visits.

Reviews test/examination results and communicates regarding patient follow up.

Works closely with triage and other nursing staff to renew prescriptions and address patient care issues as they arise.

Communicates clearly and establishes/maintains an effective working relationships with patients, medical staff and the public.

Complies with OSHA,CLIA and HIPAA regulations and maintains confidentiality of patient and all operations.
