Overview Activities Assistants are responsible for providing assistance to individuals with disabilities in recreational activities and programs. They help individuals with disabilities participate in activities that are designed to improve their physical, mental, and social well-being. Activities Assistants also provide support to individuals with disabilities in order to help them reach their goals. Detailed Job Description Activities Assistants are responsible for providing assistance to individuals with disabilities in recreational activities and programs. They help individuals with disabilities participate in activities that are designed to improve their physical, mental, and social well-being. Activities Assistants also provide support to individuals with disabilities in order to help them reach their goals. Activities Assistants may be responsible for providing assistance with activities such as swimming, bowling, arts and crafts, and other recreational activities. They may also be responsible for providing assistance with daily living activities such as meal preparation, shopping, and transportation. Activities Assistants may also be responsible for providing assistance with medical and therapeutic activities such as physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy. Skills Required

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to work with individuals with disabilities

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Certification in First Aid and CPR

• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities

• Valid driver’s license

• Ability to pass a background check
