Detailed Job Description ABA Therapists work with individuals with ASD to develop skills and behaviors that will enable them to function more independently in their daily lives. They assess the individual's needs and develop an individualized treatment plan that includes goals and objectives. They then implement interventions that are tailored to the individual's needs. ABA Therapists also provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of the individual's progress and modify the treatment plan as needed. Job Skills Required ABA Therapists must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work with individuals with ASD and their families. They must be able to assess the individual's needs and develop an individualized treatment plan. They must also be able to implement interventions that are tailored to the individual's needs. Job Qualifications ABA Therapists must have a bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field. They must also have experience working with individuals with ASD and their families. In some states, ABA Therapists must be certified or licensed. Job Knowledge ABA Therapists must have a thorough understanding of the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and how to apply them to individuals with ASD.
