Operate brake press and punch press to form, bend and punch a variety of work

Work from drawings, specifications, patterns, or templates

Use scale, protractor, fixed angle and radii gauges

Verify quantity & quality of material

Empty scrap luggars and performs miscellaneous tasks as required

Operates overhead crane while moving product

Perform other duties as directed by supervisor and management.

Work Experience: Prior manufacturing experience required

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills.

Minimum of 3 years of experience with lasers in a manufacturing environment.

Experience in the safe operation of various types of material handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes.

Must possess basic math skills to add, subtract, multiply, divide, and convert fractions to decimals and vice versa.

REQUIRED EDUCATION – High School Diploma/GED Required

Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specifications, using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures

Remove and replace dull cutting tools

Mount, install, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces on machines, using hand tools and precision measuring instruments

Adjust machine feed and speed, change cutting tools, or adjust machine controls when automatic programming is faulty or if machines malfunction

Lift work pieces to machines manually, or with the assistance of a lifting mechanism to load and unload machinery

Completes necessary paperwork or data entry for production/lab records and inventory levels.

These characteristics are normally acquired through a High School Diploma or GED with experience in a production environment preferred.

* Prepares packing materials (drums, pails, boxes) and packaging labels and stacks or stages containers for transfer.

Prints and applies labels to product.

Follows all GMP, safety, sanitation and quality specifications and procedures.

Ability to read, write and speak English.

A minimum of High School Diploma/GED OR 1 year of verified related experience

Typically requires 1 year of previously related experience.

Using a computer to view, log, or find appropriate job related information

Self-directed in a team environment

Safe use of manual tools, power tools and machinery

Basic ability to read, write and speak English

Communication skills: ability to communicate with production packers and other plant personnel

Line Owner/Machine Operator experience is not required but preferred.
