Position: Zumba Class Instructor

Employer: University of Miami, Department of Wellness and Recreation, Herbert Wellness Center

Position Overview: Under the direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Instructional Programs the Zumba class instructor shall develop and implement an appropriate Zumba group fitness class emphasizing fun, safety, and productive learning.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Zumba instructor license
• Minimum of one year teaching experience

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Must be reliable and available to provide a diverse amount of availability.
• Knowledgeable in principles, techniques, and dynamics of conducting aerobic-based group fitness classes.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to conduct safe and effective classes.
• Must adhere to the Wellness and Recreation and University policies and procedures.
• Possession of current certification(s), including adult CPR/AED, or be willing to obtain one within 90 days of employment.
