X-Ray Technician Specialist 1 - FVH – Full Time – Thursday, Saturday, Sunday Schedule

  • This position is Saturday and Sunday 7:00AM-11:00PM and Thursday 9:00AM-5:30PM.

Responsibilities and Requirements

  • May be responsible for assigned areas to assume responsibilities of supervision or instruction to department personnel as determined by Department Director
  • Demonstrates proper operation of PACS, HIS and RIS computer systems
  • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use of prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met
  • Must be able to operate complex radiographic equipment, including C-arm
  • May be assigned independent responsibilities by Department Director
  • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. intermittently throughout shift
  • MALIC - Massachusetts Radiology License
  • Ability to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
  • Education and Training
    • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have completed formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program
  • Other Requirements
    • Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment
    • Must be able to move and lift patients, equipment and supplies on a regular basis
    • Must be able to operate complex radiographic equipment, including C-arm
    • Must have working knowledge of film processing and laser imaging results
    • Ability to stand/walk up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift
    • Ability to lift up to 100 lbs. intermittently throughout shift
    • Ability to lift over 100 lbs. without assistance and/or mechanical aid
    • Must possess sight/hearing senses or use of prosthetics that will enable these senses to function adequately so that the requirements of the position can be fully met
    • Ability to speak and write the English language in an understandable manner
    • Proficiency in Cat Scan preferred.

  • Experience
    • Minimum of 1 year X-Ray tech experience preferred.
  • Requires initiative to apply appropriate skills to facilitate a diagnosis
  • High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have completed formal AMA approved Radiologic Technology Program
  • Ability to function independently and proficiently in a high stress, work intensive environment
  • ARRT(RTR) - Registered Technologist Radiography
  • Perform a wide variety of technical procedures, requiring independent judgment and ingenuity
  • Ability to stand/walk up to 6 hours per 8-hour shift
  • Proficiency in Cat Scan preferred.
  • Proper care of the client in accordance with the departmental and hospital policies and procedures is required
  • Must have working knowledge of film processing and laser imaging results

  • Practices infection control and body substance isolation in clinical practice in compliance with departmental and hospital policies and OSHA standards
  • Position Qualifications

  • Primary Function
