You will focus on Supply/Demand analytics and be responsible for presenting their analysis to Senior management. As a successful Retail Planning Manager, you will have strong business insight and excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills. Your ability to operate autonomously across multiple teams in a matrixed organization and communicate at all levels of the organization will be key to your success.

Key Qualifications

  • 5 - 10 years Operations experience, preferably in a high tech or computer-related industry.
  • Deep working knowledge of best-in-class supply chain practices, strong analytical capabilities, and business savvy.
  • Expert Excel skills using modeling & analysis
  • Extraordinary teammate and communicator.
  • Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically, a persistent attention to detail, and a high level of ease working with numbers.
  • Ability to exert thoughtful influence in a matrixed organization
  • Comfortable presenting to senior/executive management.
  • Prior experience in product planning, demand forecasting, inventory management, or supply chain management.
  • Ability to recognize, attract and develop top talent

Description

In this role, you will be the focal point for the development of supply demand strategies globally. You will work cross functionally to match supply with demand, working closely with Merchandising, Finance, SDM and Regional teams. You have strong business insight and excellent analytical, communication and influencing skills. -Lead a team of planners responsible for crafting and achieving weekly product availability plans that support retail store weekly sell through while maintaining appropriate inventory levels. -Present product updates to senior management on a daily/weekly basis, providing insight on opportunities, challenges and key decisions. -Train and develop a team capable of meeting the challenges of Apple’s dynamic environment. -Be an active participant in new product transition planning, calculating new product announcement quantities required by country/region and ensuring smooth product transitions. -Analyze & forecast WW Retail demand for 3 retail channels (store, buy online pick up in store, retail business) -Drive alignment of supply & demand plans with WW SDM & Retail Finance -Collaborate with the regional retail teams to ensure WW strategies are implemented & direction is globally consistent. -Act as the NPI & EOL champion for Retail Operations. Work with the Retail Merchandising/Finance & Readiness teams on launch & EOL strategies.

Education & Experience

BA/BS plus 5 - 10 years Operations experience, preferably in a high tech or computer-related industry.

  • At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $139,500 and $210,000, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
