Job Description

The Role

Our client is looking for a talented Workplace Technology Engineer interested in growing their career in a small engineering team with big goals. As a Workplace Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for building, deploying, and supportingour clientsMicrosoft 365platform.You will leverageyoursystem administrationskillsto support existing and future systemsin orderto enable seamless integration intoSixth Street’senvironment globally.You will configure and maintainourend user device managementplatformto standardize and secure Windows and iOS devicesat scale. There will be a focus on Microsoft 365 cloud infrastructure, configuration management and security to leverage corporate identity, network connectivity, and device types, helping to improve employee productivity. You will utilize your expert-level experience and knowledge of Microsoft 365/Azure AD architecture, administration, and best practice recommendations combined with a strong current and deep experience in security, legal and regulatory/compliance controls required for cloud environments.

Core Responsibilities

  • Microsoft Exchange Online
  • Development and implementation of support strategies including leveraging ticketing systems, building documentation, and creating runbooks for our clients Service Desk team
  • Azure and Azure secure configuration with Advanced Threat Protection (ATP) policies for Microsoft 365, Azure AD Identity Protection, Conditional Access (CA)
  • Compliance & data retention leveraging Microsoft 365 Data Loss Protection (DLP), Cloud Access Security Brokers (CASB), & Native Microsoft 365 capabilities such as retention policies
  • Manage problem resolution to a satisfactory completion by keeping track of ongoing issues and following the proper escalation processes via our ticketing system
  • Test and create RBAC in Microsoft 365, on-premise Active Directory, Azure Active Directory, and Okta
  • Microsoft 365 configuration and policies
  • Effectively translate technical specifications, errors, and business logic through written and verbal communications to both technical and non-technical customers
  • Microsoft Endpoint Manager supporting various device platforms (Windows/iOS/Mac/Windows365) through corporate enrollment (Autopilot/Apple Business Manager)
  • Windows and iOS devices including packaging and patch management
  • SaaS/Hardware Inventory, Asset Management and Lifecycle Management
  • Subject Matter Expert and Administrator for:

Qualifications

  • PowerShell scripting expertise within Microsoft 365 / Azure AD / Teams / SharePoint
  • 5+ years as an O365 Engineer and 10+ years professional technology experience
  • Service Health monitoring using Microsoft 365 console and actively respond based on system alerts and notification
  • Expert knowledge of AD, Azure Active Directory, Enterprise Mobility Suite and the Microsoft Identity Platform
  • Possesses broad knowledge base of Microsoft 365 technical architecture and the inter dependencies with other enterprise services in O365/Azure technology stack
  • Experience with PowerShell, LDAP, Active Directory, Azure AD, API’s
  • Experience Microsoft Endpoint Manager leveraging Autopilot or MDM management
  • In-depth knowledge of Office365 licensing and features
  • Familiar with application monitoring tools, reviewing log files, and be available on occasion for off hours emergency support for critical applications
  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 Platform, Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Endpoint Manager, Security & Compliance Center, Microsoft 365 and OneDrive
  • Expert knowledge of PowerShell for managing on-premises and O365 environment

Preferred

  • Adobe Creative Suite
  • Progressive experience in developing technical solutions using O365 Suite of products
  • SaaS application administration;
  • Preferably 15+ years overall IT experience
  • Atlassian (Jira, Confluence)
  • Okta Administration (SSO, SCIM, group management, etc) and integrations
  • Mac device management experience
