Wood Furniture Specialist Jobs

Primary Responsibilities

• Ensure all equipment documentation is complete and accurate
• Plan and conduct confidence testing with a focus on environmental training, equipment testing and quality assurance
• Answer customer queries regarding furniture products
• Apply the latest commercial wood furniture manufacturing best practices to all program support requirements
• Perform mechanical test and inspection of furniture
• Anticipate and address potential issues
• Analyze program requirements and recommend appropriate furniture
• Attain and maintain customer-specified certification with the safe handling, application, processing and disposal of hazardous materials.
• Maintain knowledge of latest furniture products
• Create test plans and operate environmental testing chambers
• Confirm furniture meets testing standards
• Design, build, and test wood furniture to commercial standards
• Lead the research into equipment anomalies and recommend solutions
• Coordinate and communicate with all personnel requiring wood shop support.
• Communicate test results in both oral and written formats

Required Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Scope Polygraph
• Demonstrated knowledge of commercial wood furniture standards, processes, and procedures
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of tools
• Up to 5% CONUS and OCONUS travel
• Demonstrated ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and adapt quickly to changing requirements
• Demonstrated experience working as part of a team
• 10 years of relevant experience • Demonstrated experience with wood furniture manufacturing
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
