Job Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to assist the Head Coach in all aspects of the Women’s Soccer program, as well as other duties as assigned by BYU’s Athletic Administration.

What You’d Be Responsible For

Player Development/Catering:

  • Research and identify the latest trends and techniques in coaching and performing in soccer.
  • Under the direction of the head coach, provide coaching in both a team and individual setting to improve soccer skills.
  • Participate in the creation of practice plans, teach private lessons, assist in game preparation, advise on game strategy, and provide direct coaching and assistance during games.
  • Run practice in the absence of the head coach.

Recruiting

  • Under the direction of the head coach, research, evaluate, and contact and recruit women of high character, scholarship, and athletic ability to compete for the BYU soccer program.
  • Market the soccer program to prospective recruits, community members, and club members both domestically and internationally.
  • Travel extensively to evaluate talent and market the BYU Soccer program to potential recruits.

Operations

  • Assist the head coach with competition scheduling.
  • Assist the head coach in the planning, marketing and operation of sports camps.
  • Assist the head coach in alumni/donor relationships through managing donor events, researching and finding potential donors and cultivating relationships with current donors to encourage additional donations.

What Qualifies You to Apply?

Minimum Required: Bachelor’s degree and Division I college or pro level soccer coaching or training experience.

Must have minimum required degree by start date.
