Job Description

Status: Full-time, Exempt

Hours: Hours may vary as needed to perform job responsibilities. Set scheduled M-Th 8:30- 5:30; Fri 8:30-12:30

Qualifications: Minimum requirements: bachelor’s degree. Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver’s License. Physically be able to occasionally lift, carry or move objects weighing up to 40 pounds and be able to occasionally bend, stoop and crouch to perform various tasks.

The Director of Women’s Firstep reports directly to the Chief Operating Officer of OKC Metro Alliance, Inc. The Women’s Firstep Director will administer the following job duties and any other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and/or the Executive Director.


1. Supervises the operations of the Women’s Firstep programs.

2. Ensures the health and safety of the Women’s Firstep program and facility.

3. Provides oversight and ensure training is given to the Women’s Firstep Assistant Director, Women’s Firstep Case Management dept, Women’s Firstep Transportation dept and Womens Firstep Kitchen dept.

4. Monitors Work Training Site Development

5. Oversees the program activity and supportive services. Monitors program schedules.

6. Monitors the monthly admissions, discharges, and monthly statistical data collected by the Assistant Director. Reviews monthly statistical program reports for Administration and Board of Directors.

7. Makes contacts with agencies in the community weekly, notifying them of the bed availability.

8. Provides direction to Assistant Director and Case Management regarding communication, verbal and/or written reports for judicial, attorneys, law enforcement, correctional staff, drug court, protective services, health care providers, educational service programs, churches and other agencies both private and government.

9. Leads and conducts recovery team meetings. Available for consultation in regards to client behavior, appropriate client level of care and appropriate health and behavioral health services.

10. Monitors program spending under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer. Ensure the budget is being adhered to in each department.

11. Approve Women’s Firstep timecards on Mondays every week and submitted them to HR.

12. Works with Assistant Director to ensure program population stays full and works to retain clients for the full length of their program.

13. Attends trainings and/or education presentations to maintain licensure and/or certification, if applicable.

14. Conducts other duties as assigned by the Chief Operating Officer and/or the Executive Director.
