Job Description

Job Title: Wind Turbine Support Technician

Location: Schenectady NY 12345 - Onsite from Day1

Rate: $15/hr - $18/hr


Key skills - Need call center exp, troubleshooting - IT troubleshooting, technical systems, Basic computers, MS Office, Windows


In this role, Remote Wind Turbine Support Technicians monitor the status and performance of wind turbines and wind farms to ensure continuous operations. Remote Wind Turbine Support Technicians troubleshoot and reset faults remotely, and coordinate with onsite technicians as needed to minimize disruption of service to the power grid.


Responsibilities

  • Perform remote troubleshooting by applying Remote Operations Center Fault Handling Procedures and Special Instructions
  • Follow ROC procedures to drive standardized global practices
  • Escalate and communicate to the next level of fleet support when remote troubleshooting is not effective ensuring to provide any relevant information to aid in additional support
  • Real-time monitoring and response of Renewable Energy power generating assets.
  • Proficiently communicate with internal and external customers via written and verbal communication
  • Monitor the ROC notifications for customer requests during the shift and take the necessary actions immediately
  • Interface with the site team and customer operation center when observing network interruption or loss of communication between power assets and the Monitoring System
  • Document all work performed via guidelines in approved procedures and appropriate playbook via provided digital tools
