Job Description

Our Boulder, Colorado location, is seeking welders with entry and intermediate-level welding skills to join Emerson now! We have on-the-job training available and work immediately available for those with TIG experience. We weld multiple alloys using the TIG welding process to manufacture, assemble, and prototype our instrumentation products that are used for measurement in a wide range of industries. Capable of safely performing welding-related tasks using the Gas Tungsten Arc Welding method by the requirements of ASME Sec. IX, the European Pressure Equipment Directive (PED), and internal specifications, you will produce welds that pass destructive and non-destructive testing based on certification requirements. You will also maintain welding certifications and qualifications per product requirements. We are looking for dedicated team members to join us in building the best!

Hours and Pay:

  • $22.70 - $33.90/ hour
  • Monday - Friday 2:50 pm - 11 pm
  • $2,500 Sign-on Bonus

As A Welder, You Will:
Weld production pieces and prototype instrumentation parts of various materials including stainless steel, and precious and semi-precious metals using various types of welding processes which may include TIG and/or MIG. Operates programmable welding machines to weld production units, and sets up fixtures and lays out work for production and prototype units.
Required Education, Experience & Skills:

  • TIG experience
  • Able to bend, crouch, push, pull, and reach regularly throughout the shift
  • Able to wear personal protective equipment correctly throughout the entire shift
  • Ability to lift 35lbs
  • Able to read and perform basic math
  • 1 year of welding experience, completion of welding classes, or completion of a welding certificate program
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal communication skills
  • Requires repetitive motion of fingers, hands, arms, and shoulders for reaching, handling, and assembly of the product

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills:

  • Able to interpret engineering drawings, procedures, and welding symbols
  • AAS degree in welding preferred

In accordance with Colorado EPEWA, the pay range for this role is $22.70- $33.90 per hour, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
