Qualifications

• Must be able to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Must perform tasks safely as instructed orally and in written format
• Ability to read measuring tapes and calipers
• Must have an acceptable background check
• Must pass FCAW 3G test to be considered
• Minimum of three years welding experience
• Fitting experience is a plus
• NAVSEA experience is a plus
• Must have knowledge of the metric system
• Must pass math and weld symbol test
• Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. without assistance

Compensation

• Additional increases for alloy certifications
• Welders starting rate $26.50
• Welder/fitters starting rate $31.00
• Bonus $2,500.00 after passing FCAW all positions unlimited thickness, GMAW Spray 2G, GMAW Pulse 2G, 3G, 4G, and Welder Workmanship Training tests within thirteen days
• Bonus $2,500.00 after passing a satisfactory 90-day review with no disciplinary write ups and with good attendance measured by company guidelines
