Welder/Fabricator Jobs

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for Welders/Fabricators for a large, well-known client in McCook, IL. Ideal applicants should have experience in TIG welding stainless steel and aluminum, or experience with MIG welding processes and various grinding tools. SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All temp-to-hire employees are offered competitive compensation ( $22-$26/hr) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision). Available shifts include: 1st shift Monday - Friday, weekend availability. Overtime is available on a first come, first serve basis. Duties and Responsibilities

• Continuous welding/fabrication experience required
• Ability to read and comprehend blue prints from engineering shop drawings.
• Must be willing to work overtime when needed.
• Ability to help in multiple areas within the organization. Steel prep work, saw, cutting, organizing, and welding.
• Knowledge in fabrication to consist of but not limited: steel cutting, burning, handling, hole punching, drilling, layout, and quality control of all custom fabricated parts and complete crane systems.
• Minimum Entry level experienced in MIG welding large steel fixtures.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years steel fabrication experience
• Willing to work overtime and Saturdays if needed
• A combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities is required
• Must be able to read and take direction in English
• General knowledge of various types of equipment and the ability to work with little or no supervision is required
• High school diploma or GED certificate
